PM Modi is scheduled to release the 24th PM-KISAN instalment on 30 October 2026 from Banaskantha, Gujarat. Eligible farmers are set to get Rs 2,000 via DBT, with eKYC mandatory to receive the credit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release the 24th instalment on 30 October 2026 under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme at a national-level event in Bhildi, in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district. The instalment is expected to transfer Rs 2,000 to eligible farmer families through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), with reports putting the overall payout at more than Rs 18,680 crore.
The government has said the programme will be held as ‘PM Kisan Utsav Diwas’ and livestreamed nationwide. Alongside the payment release, Modi is also scheduled to virtually inaugurate facilities linked to Banas Dairy, including a potato expansion facility, an ultra-high-temperature (UHT) processing unit and an automated storage and retrieval system.
For farmers, one condition remains non-negotiable: eKYC.
More than 9.34 crore farmer families across the country are expected to receive the upcoming payment, with some reports putting the beneficiary count slightly higher. The instalment comes ahead of Diwali, when household cash needs often rise.
Cumulative figures released by the government show the scale of the programme since it began in February 2019. Across the first 23 instalments, more than 11 crore farmer families have received over Rs 4.47 lakh crore. In Gujarat alone, more than 69.26 lakh beneficiary farmers have received assistance exceeding Rs 24,137 crore.
State-level preparations for the Banaskantha programme have also been outlined. Gujarat is expected to host district and cluster-level events to watch the main function’s live telecast, with reports indicating 34 district-level programmes and more than 2,100 cluster-level gatherings. A separate state estimate said more than 52.33 lakh farmer families in Gujarat could receive over Rs 1,051 crore through this instalment.
In Bihar, reports said farmers have received text messages informing them of the forthcoming credit. Those reports estimate that 73.65 lakh farmers in the state are expected to get Rs 2,000 each.
The PM-KISAN portal has made eKYC compulsory for registered farmers to receive the payment. Biometric-based eKYC is available through Common Service Centres (CSCs) using Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) logins, through the PM-KISAN mobile application, and via state-authorised user logins.
The requirement has become the most common reason for delays or missed credits for beneficiaries who are otherwise eligible. Farmers who have not completed eKYC, or whose Aadhaar and bank details are not properly linked for DBT, risk being left out when the instalment is released.
The scheme provides income support of Rs 6,000 a year to eligible landholding farmer families, paid in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each. The money is sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Farmers who want to confirm whether they are ready for the 24th instalment can do so on the PM-KISAN portal.
The site offers two common routes:
First, “Know Your Status”, where a registered farmer can check payment and verification progress using their registration details.
Second, the public beneficiary list page, where a farmer can look up inclusion by selecting State, District, Sub-District, Block and Village. This route is often used when a beneficiary wants to verify whether their name appears in the local list, or when multiple family members are checking status.
The payment is scheduled to be released on 30 October in Banaskantha. Credits to individual accounts typically follow through DBT once the release is triggered, though the exact time of credit can vary by bank processing.
For many farmers, the message from the government is straightforward: the instalment is coming, but only those who have completed eKYC and have their DBT details in order should expect the Rs 2,000 to land without a hitch.
