Several more releases are listed for the same day. On Netflix these include the film Sigma, which is available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, Don't Trouble the Trouble, Collision Course, The Birthday Gift, the series A Couple of Lies and the Arabic series Obsess. Prime Video has Apocalypse Z: New World, the Tamil film Dark Heaven is listed on Prime Video and Aha Tamil, and JioHotstar also lists the Tamil romance series Love Always. Paramount+ has Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, and the horror titles Big Baby and Hunting Matthew Nichols are listed on Shudder, the latter on 31 October.
If you have not caught up, several releases arrived earlier this week. Netflix added The One About Matthew Perry on 27 October, the series Dhindora Season 1, a Bhuvan Bam comedy about a middle-class man who wins a lottery, on 28 October, and the Vijay Sethupathi film Baththa on 29 October, which is about a 1980s North Chennai gangster whose life changes after he meets a young boy. Prime Video added the film Drive: The Pretenders on 28 October.
For a family evening, the Diwali-themed titles, Meethe Mein Kya Hai and How to Ruin Diwali, are the obvious pick, and Avaraachan & Sons is a comedy about a father and his sons. For those who like suspense, Rudravanam PS, SI Yugandhar and Dead-End Job are the crime and mystery options, and Obsession is the choice for horror fans. Akka is the largest star-driven release of the day, with Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte in a gangster drama set in a kingdom ruled by women.
The release schedules come from entertainment sites, and they differ on some titles and dates. One list shows an unusually high rating for Baththa, which should be treated with care, and several language dubs are described as planned, so audio options should be confirmed on the platform. Platforms can also change a release at short notice.
