Mirzapur: The Movie began streaming on Prime Video on 30 October with an extended cut, eight weeks after its 4 September release. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh with Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu, it earned about Rs 336 crore worldwide, per one report, to mixed-to-positive reviews.

Mirzapur: The Movie, the big-screen spin-off of the crime series, began streaming on Prime Video on Friday, 30 October, with an extended cut that adds material to the theatrical version. The film opened in theatres on 4 September 2026, so its streaming debut came after an eight-week window. It is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu, and is available in Hindi with English subtitles to Prime Video subscribers.
India TV describes the version as a surprise extended cut that offers more than the theatrical one. The reports found do not say how much has been added, what the new material contains or what the new runtime is. The theatrical version ran for 3 hours and 17 minutes, and that length was the most common complaint from critics, with some suggesting that 30 to 40 minutes could have been cut. Whether the longer version answers that criticism is not addressed in the reports. A report published the day before the release said that an official announcement from Prime Video or the producers was still awaited, and later reports confirmed that the film was streaming.
The film revisits the old battle for the throne of Mirzapur and focuses on Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Bablu Pandit. It is described as an interquel set between the events of the first season, and not as a direct continuation of the third season. Pankaj Tripathi plays Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal plays Guddu Pandit and Divyenndu plays Munna Bhaiya. Ravi Kishan plays Babban Yadav, and Jitendra Kumar plays Bablu, a change in casting that some viewers had to adjust to. Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal and Mohitt Maalik also have key roles.
Figures differ by source. One report gives these numbers for the theatrical run:
| Measure | Figure |
|---|---|
| Opening day in India | Rs 28.11 crore |
| India net | Rs 233.73 crore |
| India gross | Rs 275.83 crore |
| Overseas gross | Rs 61 crore |
| Worldwide gross | Rs 336.83 crore |
That report puts the return on investment at more than 159%. A tracker cited in another report gives an opening day of Rs 30.90 crore, a second day of Rs 38.40 crore, a third day of Rs 43.05 crore, a first week in India of Rs 148.45 crore and a worldwide total of Rs 339.84 crore. A third listing gives Rs 325.02 crore worldwide, so the worldwide figure is somewhere between about Rs 325 crore and Rs 340 crore depending on the source.
Reviews were mixed to positive. Praise went to the return of familiar characters, to the performances, the sharp dialogue and the dark humour, with Tripathi, Fazal and Kishan singled out. India TV gave the film 3 out of 5, praising Ravi Kishan's performance and the leads' hold on their characters, but it said that the film's length, too many storylines and some weak creative decisions held it back. Other criticism focused on a loss of momentum during the Jaisalmer desert sequences and on stretched subplots.
The film is on Prime Video, and an active subscription is required. India TV describes it as part of the platform's festive lineup. The film is produced by Excel Entertainment, according to one report.
The reports found do not give any reviews of the extended cut itself, and they do not say whether a sequel or a new season is planned.
