ICAI declared the CA Intermediate September 2026 results on October 22. Neel Rajesh Shah and Sakshi Chandak jointly topped with 502/600, while the pass rate for both groups was 13.21%.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on October 22, 2026 declared the results of the CA Intermediate Examination held in September 2026, opening the scorecards and the merit list on its results portal.
Two candidates shared the top spot this time. Neel Rajesh Shah of Mumbai and Sakshi Chandak of Nashik jointly secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 with 502 marks out of 600 (83.67%).
Shruti V of Chennai finished AIR 2 with 492 marks (82%), while Prem Agarwal of Surat took AIR 3 with 490 marks (81.67%).
The September 2026 Intermediate results brought a joint first rank, with the top two candidates posting identical totals and percentages. The next two ranks were closely packed as well, separated by just two marks.
In all, 14,818 candidates cleared the examination across Group I, Group II, and both groups.
For candidates who attempted both groups together, the overall pass percentage stood at 13.21%. That figure was higher than the May 2026 session’s pass percentage for both groups, which was 8.47%, an increase of 4.74 percentage points.
The Intermediate examination is a major checkpoint in the CA pathway, and the release typically triggers a rush on the results portal as candidates download their scorecards and check group-wise status.
Candidates can access their result on the ICAI Exam Results Portal at caresults.icai.org.
To view and download the scorecard, students need their six-digit roll number and their registration number, along with the CAPTCHA code shown on the page. After submitting these details, the portal displays the result and allows candidates to save or print the scorecard.
Alongside individual results, the portal also makes the merit list available for the session.
Candidates who have secured a “PASS” status in the required group or groups can move to the next stage of the course. Those who have cleared Intermediate are eligible to register for the CA Final examinations.
For students who did not clear one or more groups, the result is also a planning point. The scorecard indicates subject-wise performance, which many candidates use to decide whether to attempt a single group or both groups in the next cycle.
Meanwhile, the CA Foundation September 2026 results were still awaiting official confirmation as of Thursday. They have been unofficially expected to be released between October 20 and October 26, 2026.
