Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-loading from 12 November. Pre-orders are $79.99 (Standard) and $99.99 (Ultimate); there is no official PC date, and physical copies reportedly contain a download code.

Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto VI is due to launch on Thursday, 19 November 2026, on the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X and S. Pre-loading begins on 12 November, a week before launch. There is no official release date for a PC version, though one report says it is reportedly planned before the end of March 2027, which Rockstar has not confirmed. The reports found are mostly secondary guides, and the prices and edition details should be checked on Rockstar's and the platforms' own listings.
The date has moved twice. The first trailer, in December 2023, pointed to 2025. In May 2025 the date moved to 26 May 2026, and in November 2025 it moved again, to 19 November 2026. One report says that the date was restated in the launch trailer released on 15 October.
Pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026, though one source gives 24 June for the announcement.
| Edition | US price | UK price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $79.99 | £69.99 |
| Ultimate | $99.99 | £89.99 |
Both editions include the Vintage Vice City Pack for anyone who pre-orders before 20 November, and digital pre-orders also include one month of GTA+. One source lists a separate collector's box at $399.99, which does not include the game.
Physical copies reportedly include a download code instead of a disc. Sources differ on whether the Ultimate Edition is digital only, and one says the physical box ships without a disc and contains the code inside.
Pre-loading starts on 12 November 2026, so players who have pre-ordered digitally can download the game before launch day.
After Sony's price rise on 2 April 2026, the PS5 costs $649.99 in the US and £569.99 in the UK, the PS5 Digital Edition $599.99 and £519.99, and the PS5 Pro $899.99 and £789.99. There is no official GTA VI PS5 bundle. Sony has announced a cheaper Midnight Black PS5 that will launch alongside the game, but it is currently only for Japan.
There is no confirmed PC date, and the reported window of before the end of March 2027 comes from one source that says Rockstar has not confirmed it. The reports found do not give the file size of the game, its system requirements on consoles, or its age rating.
