CBSE has not released the Class 10 and 12 board exam timetable PDF for 2027 as of 29 October 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has not released the official CBSE Class 10 and 12 date sheet 2027 PDF as of 29 October 2026, leaving students and schools watching closely for an update expected around late October or November.
The timetable, once issued, is expected to appear as a downloadable PDF on cbse.gov.in without any login requirement. Reports circulating on education portals have pointed to end-of-October timelines, but there has been no confirmation from the board on a specific release date.
For many families, the date sheet is the document that locks in everything else: revision plans, pre-board schedules, travel for students studying away from home, and practical exam planning. Until it arrives, schools are working with broad windows rather than fixed dates.
The date sheet will cover the subject-wise schedule for the CBSE board examinations for the 2026–27 academic session for Classes 10 and 12. It typically includes exam dates, subject names, subject codes, paper timings and candidate instructions.
While CBSE has not announced the 2027 schedule, recent reporting has pointed to a familiar pattern. Last year, the board issued a tentative timetable on 24 September 2025 and followed it with the final date sheet on 30 October 2025. That sequence has led to expectations that the 2027 PDF could arrive around the same period this year, though the board has not endorsed any such date.
Reports have also suggested that the 2027 board examinations are expected to be held across the February to March period, but the exact span and subject order will only be clear once the PDF is published.
Standard timings, based on how the board usually runs major papers, are commonly a single morning shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm IST, preceded by a 15-minute reading period beginning at 10:15 am. Any deviations, including different durations for particular subjects, are normally specified on the date sheet itself.
Another reason the release window matters is the sequence of administrative steps that precede it. The date sheet is generally anticipated after the List of Candidates (LOC) submission window closes, since the board needs finalised candidate data to plan operations at scale.
Once CBSE posts the timetable, students will be able to download it directly from the board’s website, cbse.gov.in. The document is expected to be placed prominently, typically through the main site and then under sections such as “Latest @ CBSE” or “Examination Circulars”.
The notification title has varied from year to year, but it is generally a straightforward label along the lines of “Class 10 and 12 Board Examination Date Sheet 2027” or “CBSE Class X and XII Date Sheet for Board Examinations 2027”. Selecting the link opens the PDF, which can then be saved locally for reference.
Students are being advised, in the absence of an official release time, to rely on the board’s own website for the final document rather than screenshots or reposts. The date sheet is not just a list of dates; it also carries instructions that can affect reporting time and exam-day conduct.
In the days leading up to the expected release window, schools typically keep internal academic calendars flexible. Pre-board test plans, extra classes and revision timetables are often drafted in broad strokes, then tightened once the subject order is confirmed.
Teachers also use the date sheet to help students manage gaps between papers. A long gap can be used for a full revision cycle, while back-to-back papers require a different approach, with lighter revision and earlier completion of notes and sample practice.
Practical examinations and internal assessments add another layer. Reports have indicated that CBSE may run theory and practical examinations across a wider January-to-April window, but the board’s final documentation is what determines how schools sequence lab work, viva schedules and project submissions around theory papers.
For students, the immediate value of the PDF is certainty. It tells them which subjects come first, how much time sits between major papers, and whether any exam falls on a date that clashes with travel or other commitments. For schools and centres, it is the trigger for exam logistics: seating plans, invigilator rosters, and coordination with exam centre authorities.
CBSE is expected to publish the PDF on cbse.gov.in when it is ready. Until then, the 2027 timetable remains awaited, with end-of-October and November still the most commonly discussed window in reports, rather than a board-announced deadline.
