CBSE is expected to release the Class 10 and 12 date sheet for the 2027 board exams soon. October 21, 2026 is the last date for schools to submit the List of Candidates. Several state boards have already announced 2027 exam windows.

CBSE is expected to publish the Class 10 and Class 12 date sheet for the 2027 board examinations soon, with schools reaching a key internal deadline on October 21, 2026 for submitting student details.
The board’s date sheet, when released, is issued as a PDF and typically carries the full subject-wise schedule, exam timings, subject codes and paper names. Students will be able to download it from CBSE’s official website once it goes live.
Schools, meanwhile, were told to complete the List of Candidates (LOC) process by October 21, including verifying that student information is correct, subjects are chosen properly and the examination fee is paid within the stipulated timeline. Reports said CBSE had sent multiple reminders to schools in the run-up to the deadline.
As of Wednesday afternoon, CBSE had not announced the Class 10 and Class 12 board examination dates for 2027 in the material available for this update. The board is expected to release the schedule shortly.
Reports also pointed to last year’s timeline as a reference point: a tentative date sheet was released on September 24 and the final date sheet on October 30. Last year’s board examinations began on February 17.
Those dates do not confirm the 2027 calendar, but they have shaped expectations among students and schools watching for the next release.
Once the PDF is published, students typically look first for the start date and end date, then scan for their own subject papers and note any back-to-back exams. The document also generally includes exam-day instructions, which schools repeat during pre-board briefings.
CBSE’s date sheet, when released, is made available in PDF format on the board’s official website. Students should use only the official copy for planning revision and travel, and keep a saved version on their phone or computer in case the site is slow during peak traffic.
The PDF is expected to include:
Until the schedule is published, schools and students are left to plan broadly. Many schools align pre-boards, practical work and revision timetables around the expected board window, but final adjustments usually happen only after the date sheet is out.
While CBSE’s 2027 schedule is still awaited, several state boards have already announced their Class 10 and Class 12 examination timelines.
Tamil Nadu’s Directorate of Government Examinations has announced dates for the 2027 public exams: Class 10 exams will run from March 17 to April 12, 2027, and the HSC Class 12 exams will be held from March 3 to March 29, 2027.
Uttar Pradesh has also published its timetable. The UP board exams are scheduled from February 5 to 24, 2027.
In Maharashtra, the HSC examinations are slated from February 8 to March 16, 2027, while SSC exams are scheduled from February 15 to March 11, 2027.
Elsewhere, some boards are still in the waiting phase. Tripura’s board is expected to release the Madhyamik Class 10 and Higher Secondary Class 12 routines for 2027, but no release date has been confirmed in the available material.
The staggered announcements underline how the national board schedule is only one part of a larger exam season that begins taking shape months in advance. For students preparing for competitive exams alongside boards, the confirmed timelines in some states also influence coaching calendars and test-series planning.
Separately, exams are already under way for one set of candidates in Jammu and Kashmir. The JKBOSE Winter Zone exams for the October–November Annual Regular session have begun, with Class 10 exams running from October 19 to November 18, and Class 12 exams from October 21 to November 21. The material available for that update said both examinations are scheduled to begin at 11 am.
For CBSE candidates, the immediate next step is the publication of the board’s official PDF. Once it is out, schools typically circulate it to students and parents, and many begin issuing subject-wise revision plans matched to the gaps between papers.
