UP’s Dashmottar scholarship window for 2026–27 is nearing key deadlines. Renewals must apply online by Oct 15, while fresh applicants have time until Oct 31. Aadhaar-linked verification, DigiLocker and institute submission remain mandatory steps.

The Uttar Pradesh government’s post-matric scholarship application process for the 2026–27 academic year is now in its final stretch for renewal candidates, with the online deadline set for October 15, 2026.
The scholarship window currently active covers the Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate category, commonly referred to as Dashmottar. It includes courses beyond Class 12 such as graduation, post-graduation, diploma programmes and ITI.
For fresh applicants, the last date to complete the online submission is October 31, 2026. Students are required to register, upload documents and then submit a printed copy of the completed form to their school, college or institute for verification.
The scheme is open to students from SC, ST, OBC, General and Minority categories, subject to eligibility conditions.
A domicile certificate from Uttar Pradesh is required. Income limits apply by category: annual family income up to ₹2,50,000 for SC and ST students, and up to ₹2,00,000 for OBC, General and Minority candidates.
The scholarship is meant to support education-related expenses. The amount varies by category and course, and may also differ for day scholars and hostellers.
While the broader UP Scholarship programme also covers Classes 9 to 12, the application deadlines for those classes have already passed for 2026–27. The current focus is on Dashmottar applicants who are studying beyond intermediate.
Applications are being taken through the UP Scholarship Portal. Students applying for the first time must use the “New Registration” option, while returning beneficiaries must use the “Renewal Login”.
The process requires One-Time Registration (OTR), along with DigiLocker and Aadhaar-DBT verification. Reports on the current cycle also indicate Aadhaar OTP verification is mandatory for candidates.
After logging in, applicants must fill personal details, academic information and fee-related entries, and then upload the required documents before final submission. A printed hard copy of the submitted form must be produced and handed to the relevant institute, a step that remains central to the verification chain.
With renewal candidates facing a mid-October cutoff, colleges and departments are expected to see a rush in the coming days from students trying to complete Aadhaar-linked checks, document uploads and institutional submission before the window closes.
The next milestone in the calendar comes at the end of the month, when the portal is scheduled to close for fresh Dashmottar applications on October 31. After that, scrutiny and verification at the institute level is expected to determine which applications proceed for scholarship processing and payment through the direct benefit transfer system.
