India have passed the 100-medal target at the Asian Para Games and are fourth, with 103 to 114 medals depending on the listing. Mona Agarwal won her second gold with a world record, and she and Nishad Kumar will carry the flag at Saturday's closing.

India have crossed the 100-medal mark at the Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya, and they sit fourth in the standings as the Games reach their final day. By late Friday morning in India the count was 103 medals: 27 gold, 33 silver and 43 bronze. Another listing had 104, with 27 gold, 34 silver and 43 bronze, and the Wikipedia count showed 114, with 30 gold, 35 silver and 49 bronze. The numbers differ with the time they were taken, and the final figure will be known only after the last events. The Games end on Saturday, 24 October, with the closing ceremony in Aichi-Nagoya.
The 100-medal mark was India's target before the Games. If the higher count holds, India will have passed the 111 medals they won at the previous Games in Hangzhou in 2022, a record, though that depends on the official table.

India were sixth on the second day and fifth after the third, when they had 62 medals, and they have risen since. A rise of about 40 medals in two days shows how many came on the track and in the shooting range and badminton courts.
The headline of Friday was Mona Agarwal's second gold. She won the women's 50 m rifle three positions SH1 with 357.5 points, a world record, finishing 3.8 points ahead of China's Cuiping Zhang, who took silver. The previous record was reported to be 356, set by Sweden's Anna Benson in July. She had been in fifth or sixth place at one stage and came through to win. South Korea's Yunri Lee took bronze, and her compatriot Avani Lekhara was fourth. Agarwal had earlier won the 10 m air rifle standing SH1 with a Games-record 250.0, ahead of Lekhara, and she won a bronze at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
Nishad Kumar won the men's long jump T47 with 7.11 m, in his international debut in the discipline, and the men's high jump T47 with 2.04 m, a Games record. He became only the third Indian to win two golds in a single edition of the Asian Para Games, after Ankur Dhama and Sheetal Devi. He and Agarwal have been named India's flag bearers for the closing ceremony.
Para-athletics has provided most of the golds: Dilip Gavit won the men's 100 m and 400 m T47, Sandeep the 400 m T64, Praveen Kumar the high jump T64, Haney the javelin F37/38, Pranav Soorma and Devender Kumar the discus, Sachin Khilari and Ayush Verma the shot put, Simran the women's 100 m and 200 m T12, and Deepthi Jeevanji the women's 400 m T20.
In badminton, Nitesh Kumar won gold in the men's singles SL3 and Naveen Sivakumar in the SL4, and Pramod Bhagat took silver in the SL3. In archery, Harvinder Singh and Vijay Sundi won the men's recurve doubles, Sheetal Devi won silver in the women's compound, and Pooja Jatyan and Bhawna Choudhary took silver in the women's recurve doubles. Sheetal Devi and Toman Kumar set a world mark of 1402 in the mixed compound team event, according to one listing. India also won medals in swimming, judo, powerlifting and table tennis.
On the listing that totals 114 medals, 65 of them came in athletics, 16 in badminton, 11 in swimming, seven in table tennis, six in archery, five in shooting and two each in powerlifting and judo. China lead the table by a distance, with 171 gold medals. For India the final day is a chance to add to a total that is already their best in the Games' history, if the higher count is confirmed, and to carry the flag at the close.
