Bigg Boss 20: Aasif Khan reportedly eliminated in week 8

Aasif Khan has reportedly been eliminated from Bigg Boss 20 in the show's eighth week, after receiving the fewest votes from viewers, according to social media reports. Official confirmation had not come when the reports were filed, and the eviction is due to air on the weekend episodes, which Salman Khan is due to host. The reports spell his name both Aasif and Asif.

The nominees

Six contestants were nominated for eviction in week 8: Scout OP, Gullu, Love Gill, Kanika Mann, Amrapali Dubey and Aasif Khan. Unofficial voting trends reportedly placed Kanika, Amrapali and Aasif in the danger zone.

The basis for the report

The report that he was out rests on a post from a fan account dated 30 October, which claimed that Aasif Khan had been evicted. One report says that the news is based on social media buzz, and another says that no official announcement has been made, so the eviction is unconfirmed despite headlines that call it confirmed. A Hindi-language outlet says that Salman Khan announced the eviction, but that is not borne out by the other reports found.

Aasif reportedly drew criticism from Rohit Shetty, who hosted the previous Weekend Ka Vaar, for what was described as unnecessary aggression towards other contestants, especially Qazi Touqeer. Shetty also confronted Love Gill and Scout OP over their conduct on television, which reportedly made contestants more cautious about their relationships and their image.

Salman Khan skipped the previous weekend's episodes and has returned to the sets, according to one report. Sunday episodes are scheduled for JioHotstar at 9 pm and Colors at 10:30 pm. The finale of the season is scheduled for 20 December 2026.

Mahhi Vij was barred from reclaiming her captaincy or competing again this week, which opened the race to other housemates for power and immunity.

The reports do not agree on who was up for eviction. One outlet, dated 27 October, listed nine nominees for the week: Qazi Touqeer, Love Gill, Scout OP, Yung Das, Gullu, Amrapali Dubey, Manish Goes, Kanika Mann and Arishfa Khan, and it said that Rohit Shetty hosts the season in place of Salman Khan and that Mary Kom had been eliminated. Another outlet, also dated 27 October, listed six nominees, among them Aasif Khan, and based its list on a viral tweet. Neither is an official confirmation.

A report dated 29 October said that Gullu faced possible eviction after a physical fight with Yung DSA during a captaincy task, and that no official announcement had been made. The reports do not say whether the show took any action.

The reports found do not give vote counts, and they do not carry any reaction from the housemates or from Aasif Khan. The reports also do not state the premiere date of the season or the number of contestants.
